The shield tunneling of Line 1 of Xiamen Metro is studied in terms of geology survey, shield selection, shield boring under complex geological conditions and assistant construction methods, so as to ensure the successful construction of the project. Conclusions drawn are as follows: 1) Detailed engineering geological and hydrogeological survey is the basis for the construction of the project; 2) Shield suitable for the geological conditions of the project is fundamental for the construction of the project; 3) Proper shield boring parameters and proper assistant construction methods are guarantee for the construction of the project.
