To promote the application of intelligent control
technology in the field of tunnel construction ventilation, a streamlined
intelligent ventilation control system for construction tunnels is proposed.
This system mainly consists of three components: a monitoring host module, a
working face environment recognition module, and an actuator control module. Based
on an enhanced augmented ZNPID algorithm, the system achieves multiparameter
control of tunnel ventilation by normalizing pollutant concentrations. The
study results reveal that the intelligent ventilation system efficiently
adjusts the fan frequency according to the pollutant concentration at the
working face during a twomonth field test in a
construction tunnel. In comparison to traditional methods, the system manages
to reduce power consumption by approximately 31%, indicating a significant
potential for energy savings. Furthermore, a comprehensive processbased ventilation control method based on realtime measurements and historical data is proposed. By analyzing the
unique characteristics of each construction process and the air volume requirements,
realtime assessments of the procedure of construction
are achieved. This provides a novel approach to achieving comprehensive processbased intelligent ventilation control. The proposed intelligent
ventilation control system and methodology contribute to advancing the
scientific management of ventilation in construction tunnels, providing
valuable insights for the intelligent application of tunnel ventilation.
