Abstract: Due to the huge weight of the TBM, the transfer of the TBM alng the intermediate ceiling of the Metro station may have serious impact on the stability of the Metro station. Realtime monitoring is made on the axial force of the steel support, the deflection of the intermediate ceiling and the cracks of the intermediate ceiling and the side wall during the transfer of the open TBM along the intermediate ceiling of Dalongshan station of Chongqing Metro. Conclusions drawn are as follows: 1) The deformation and stress of the Metro station structure is the largest when the TBM head is in the monitoring section. 2) The main action of the TBM head on the intermediate ceiling takes the form of vertical pressure and the main action of the grippers on the intermediate ceiling takes the form of lateral pressure. 3) The beams of the intermediate ceiling can transfer the pressure when the TBM passes the intermediate ceiling. The realtime monitoring provides guidance for the station transfer of the TBM, which minimizes the safety risks and guarantees the stability of the Metro station.
