Test Research on Creeps of Tertiary Weak Sandstone: Case Study on Humaling Tunnel on LanzhouChongqing Railway

Abstract:

Humaling tunnel on LanzhouChongqing railway passes through Tertiary waterrich weak sandstone. Serious deformation occurs during the construction of the tunnel. Creeping test is made on the soil samples and the characteristics of the weak sandstone are obtained, the creeping characteristics of soils with different water content rates are analyzed, the relationship between the deformation and the deformationlasting time of soils with different water content rates is discussed, and corresponding tunnel design principle and tunnel construction methods are proposed.
