Abstract:

Due to the special spatial relationship and multitube characteristics of neighboring tunnels, the construction of neighboring tunnels can cause the redistribution of the stress of the surrounding rocks of the tunnels, which may lead to a series of mechanical behavior variation. Crossing tunnels belongs to neighboring tunnels. During the construction of crossing tunnels, the loading and unloading effect and the horizontal, vertical and spatial effect vary depending on the spatial location, excavation sequence and excavation method of the crossing tunnels. This article relies on the construction of the tunnel section where Line 5 of Guangzhou Metro crosses above Line 6, so as to make study on the construction of the tunnel section of Line 5 crossing Line 6, with threedimensional modeling via ABAQUS. This analysis reveals that the internal forces of the permanent support of tunnel of Line 6 is not so much affected by the construction of the tunnel of Line 5, while the ground surface settlement is relatively seriously affected by the construction of the tunnel of Line 5. This paper compares the mutual influence relationships of internal forces and deformation between Line 5 and Line 6, so as to provide a theoretical basis to optimize the design scheme and to choose reasonable construction sequence in practical work.
