Abstract:

Threedimensional accurate numerical model is favorable for the indeep study on the mechanical performance of segment joints. How to establish the relationship between the boundary conditions of the indoor experiments and those of the numerical models is one of the key factors to success. In the studies on the bending performance of segment joints, the influence of the axial force eccentricity cannot be ignored. In previous studies, idealized treatment is carried out, which resulted in big errors. In the paper, the uncertainty of the positions where the axial force is applied in the segment joint crushing experiment is discussed,  the feasibility and rationality to determine the axial force eccentricity in accordance with the deviation between the numerical simulation result and the experiment result and by means of regression analysis is verified, the whole process from the displacement of the segment joints to the failure of the segment joints  under the positive and negative bending moments is simulated, and finally some suggestion is made on the bending experiment and threedimensional numerical simulation of segment joints under positive and negative bending moments.
