Abstract:

In order to improve the safety and economical benefit of cutter replacement of ultralarge diameter airslurry balance shied boring in complex strata, the application of the 4th generation cutter replacing technology of shield used in Yangtze Rivercrossing Tunnel on Sanyang Road in Wuhan is studied; common rules for cutter inspection and replacement are summarized; and improving methods risk control methods for cutter replacement are proposed.
