Study of Optimization of Operation Ventilation Scheme for Huayingshan Highway Tunnel

Abstract:

The operation ventilation scheme for Huayingshan Tunnel on NanchongLiangping Highway is studied so as to reduce the investment and decrease the safety risk of vertical shaft construction and structure. The operation ventilation schemes designed based on the new specifications and the existing specifications are compared. The study results show that: 1) The original ventilation scheme, twosectioned blowin and exhaust ventilation by two vertical shafts, for Huayingshan Tunnel of 8.2 km long can be replaced by jet longitudinal ventilation in the left tunnel, two sectioned blowin and exhaust ventilation by vertical shaft in the right tunnel and two vertical shafts as smoke discharge channels. 2) The total fan power of the operation ventilation system decreases by 1 176 kW (23.1%) and the fan power for dilution pollutant of short term, medium term and long term decreases by 2 290 kW (60.7%), 2 512 kW (66.6%) and 1 892 kW (45.9%) respectively after optimization.
