Abstract:
In order to study the influence of structural cut and convert (CC) method on design and construction under different structure division methods, and rich the relevant research of CC method, the structural system and mechanical properties corresponding to two different structure division methods, i.e. joint in midspan and joint on column top, are analyzed and compared; and furthermore, the influence of the joint positions and properties of the two structure division methods on the structure are numerically analyzed. And then comparison is made between the two structure division methods in terms of construction sequence, joint construction quality control and economic indicators. The research results show that: (1) When the joint is set on column top, the design and construction are difficult and the construction cost is high. (2) When the joint is set in midspan, the design and construction are applicable, whereas the properties of joint is difficult to control, which should be considered cautiously.
Key words: structural cut and convert (CC) method, mining method, structural stress, joint in midspan, joint on column top
