Study on Prefabricated Lining Structure Design of a Metro Tunnel Constructed by Mining Method

Abstract: Prefabricated structures have the advantages of factory, mold, mechanization, and standardization; it can be brought into a metro tunnel constructed by the mining method. Detailed and indepth investigation of similar projects in China and abroad are conducted. As part of the investigation, a preliminary research on the prefabricated secondary lining structure of a metro tunnel constructed by the mining method is carried out using engineering analogy, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation analysis, experimental research, and field application feedback based on the mature design and construction experience of shield and TBM. The results show that it is feasible to use prefabricated components for the secondary lining structure of a tunnel constructed using the mining method. The prefabricated secondary lining adopts a horseshoeshaped crosssection, reinforced concrete flat lining with a thickness of 300 mm or 350 mm and 6 blocks, and a staggered joint with ring width of 1 200 mm. The lining sheets are connected by curved or straight bolts according to the design principle of erectors.
