Abstract: The Micangshan tunnel is an important project in the Bashan expressway. The maximum buried depth is 1 060 m and the total length is 13.8 km. It has the characteristics of huge engineering scale and complex geological conditions. Based on the actual construction of the Micangshan tunnel, the important and difficult points in the construction of Micangshan tunnel are introduced, including the issues in rapid longdistance tunnel construction, ventilation technology, high risk construction in the high ground stress rockburst section, and tunnel auxiliary structure construction. The results of rapid construction technology of superlong highway tunnels, blasting technology of high ground stress, ventilation technology of ultralong tunnel construction, design and construction technology of shafts, inclined shafts, underground fan rooms, connecting channel, and traffic transition zones, etc. formed in the tunnel construction are summarized.
