Abstract: To investigate the impact of the excavation uplift effect on the settlement prediction of shallowburied largediameter tunnels, finite element numerical simulation method is used to conduct calculations. The results show that the excavation uplift effect results in the ground settlement is significantly smaller. Based on the settlement monitoring data of the onsite ground surface, the Clough modified formula is introduced to calculate the width coefficient WT5《TNR#I》〗iWT5《TNR》〗 of the settlement trough. The Loganathan & Puolos and Celestino formulas are modified and nonlinear fitting analysis is carried out. It is concluded that the formation loss rate WT5《TNR#I》〗V〖WTTNR》〗l is unknown, and the fitting degree of the modified Loganathan & Puolos formula is the highest, and the fitting degree of the Celestino formulas is the highest for land subsidence based on the formation loss rate WT5《TNR#I》〗V〖WTTNR》〗l. The correlation between the complete settlement prediction curve drawn by the combined formula and the onsite monitoring data curve reaches 85%, and the trend is basically the same, indicating that the prediction method has a good prediction accuracy.
