Abstract: Underground space is a valuable natural resource, making resource-oriented management of underground space essential to sustainable urban development. Scientific and comprehensive evaluation and zoning provide a foundation for rational planning and orderly development and utilization of underground space and remain key research priorities. However, underground space is not an isolated resource. The underground space resource which can be developed coexists with various underground resources such as groundwater, geothermal energy, and geological materials, forming a complex underground resource system. This study proposes the concept of full underground space resources. By systematically analyzing the characteristics and interactions of multiple underground space, including underground space resources, groundwater resources, shallow geothermal energy resources, and geological material resources, and in accordance with the spatial distribution patterns of the endowment, bearing capacity, and underground environmental constraints of full resources of underground space, multiple resource variables are integrated to develop a regionalization framework that supports their coordinated utilization and protection. The proposed concept of full underground space resources and the corresponding regionalization method provide a basis for the hierarchical utilization of urban underground resources and integrated, resource-oriented planning of underground space.

Key words: urban underground space, full-resource of underground space, underground space resource, shallow geothermal energy, spatial zoning, coordinated utilization, geological resource, resource protection
