Structural Design of Separated Island Metro Station Constructed
by means of PileBeamArch Mining Method

Abstract:

 Being located under East 3rd Circle Road and adjacent to Jingguang Flyover, Hujialou station of Line 10 of Beijing Metro is situated under complex surrounding environment. After comparison and contrast, separated island structure and PBA (PileBeamArch)construction method are determined for the Metro station so as to improve the safety and stability of the works. The article presents the structural design and calculations of Hujialou station and expatiates on the structural type selection, construction steps and simulation computation of the Metro station. The practice shows that, by adopting the PBA method, the deformation occurring during construction can be reduced and the adjacent structures can be effectively protected.
