Abstract:

The paper presents the construction method adopted for the construction of Longfeng tunnel on bid 2 section of approach line of SuiYu railway, which penetrates across underneath the existing Jianshanzi tunnel on Yuhe highway. From the general principles and requirements for the tunnel construction, the paper presents in detail such tunnel construction sequences as installation of piperoof protection, excavation and reinforcement, measurement and monitoring, installation of invert and lining. Furthermore, the paper briefly presents the protection measures and contingency countermeasures taken for the tunnel construction.
