Abstract:

The current test methods for the tensile creep of concrete at early age are studied. A test frame system is developed to examine the tensile creep of concrete at early age, which fulfills the quantitative evaluation on the tensile creep of concrete at early age. A series of tests are made on ordinary concrete with 0.58 W/C ratio to verify the reliability of the test method. The test results demonstrate that the tensile creep of concrete at early age can be effectively obtained by the mentioned test method and that the principle and purpose of the test design can be satisfied.
