Nonlinear Regression Analysis on Steady Deformation of Surrounding
Rocks of Tunnel Portal Sections

Abstract:

The analysis on the monitoring data of the deformation of the surrounding rocks of tunnel portal sections indicates that the deformation curves of the ground surface settlement, crown settlement and perimeter displacement have obvious stage characteristics. At the same time, the nonlinear regression analysis on the deformation curves of surrounding rocks obtains the nonlinear regression equation of "growth models" of the deformation of the surrounding rocks. This nonlinear regression equation provides the basis to forecast the deformation rules and final deformation of the surrounding rocks and to improve the level of the informationaided tunnel construction.
