Abstract:
3D finite element model is established for shield tunneling below underground pipelines, with a tunnel project as an example, and the influence of shield tunnelling on the pipelines is simulated. The simulation demonstrates that the distance between the tunnel working face and the pipelines, the relative depths of the pipelines and the tunnel and the pipelinesoil stiffness have great influence on the displacement and stress of the pipelines. The rules and conclusions drawn in the paper can provide reference for the pipeline protection in similar projects in the future.
Key words: shield bored tunnel, underground pipeline, finite element analysis
