Abstract

Abstract:

The relationship between a Metro tunnel section and the pile foundations of an interchange, the characteristics of the sandy gravel strata and the original design of the shieldbored tunnel crossing underneath the pile foundations are presented. Optimization is made on the design on basis of theoretical analysis. However, the effect of the optimization still needs to be verified in the future execution of the project.
