Abstract:

The lining structures of tunnels in Southwest China are subject to sulfate corrosion. The surrounding rock conditions are simulated and tests are made on 4 working conditions of tunnel lining. The strength of the concrete lining at the crown, arch waist, arch foot and sidewall is tested and the relationship among the corrosion intensities at different positions is analyzed according to the test results. Conclusions drown are as follows: the strength of the tunnel lining at each position develops in the form of parabola, increasing in the early stage before decreasing in the late stage; the corrosion speed of the crown lining is the highest and the corrosion speed of the lining at other positions decreases as the horizontal angle of the lining decreases; the equation for the corrosion intensity of the lining at each position is obtained by analyzing the relationship among the corrosion intensities of the lining at different positions.
