Abstract: The key technologies of relay pumps, such as the independent configuration technology, the component and apparatus selection technology, the structure installation technology and the electric debugging technology, are presented in detail in this paper, with the rivercrossing tunnel on Line 2 of Wuhan Metro as an example. The application of the relay pump technology in slurry shield tunneling is summarized. The feasibility to configurate relay pumps independently is also demonstrated. The paper is helpful to promote the domestic manufacture of the slurry circulation systems of slurry shields.
