Abstract: The conventional relay control manner adopted in the electrical system of the homemade waterproofing membrane laying machine has poor stability, poor reliability and poor operation flexibility. It is proposed in the paper that the waterproofing membrane laying machine should be equipped with PLC and remote control. The mechanical structure, electrical hardware and software system and wireless remote control system of the new type of waterproofing membrane laying machine are presented in detail. Compared to the waterproofing membrane laying machine equipped with the conventional relay control system, the new type of waterproofing membrane laying machine equipped with PLC control system is more stable and more reliable, is more convenient and accurate in finding out the fault and is more helpful for the operator’s operation at the accurate positions.
