Abstract: The construction of the connection section between No. 3 inclined shaft and main tunnel of Taoshuping tunnel on LanzhouChongqing railway has great construction difficulty, tight construction schedule and high quality requirement. Construction technologies, such as driving the inclined shaft perpendicularly to penetrate the main tunnel, pilot tunneling in the connection section, invert construction of main tunnel, secondary lining of main tunnel, grouting and dewatering are adopted on basis of the geological conditions. In the end, the problem of the construction of the connection section between the inclined shaft and the main tunnel has been successfully solved. The paper can provide theoretical basis and reference for the safe and rapid constriction of similar projects in the future.
