Abstract:

During the shield tunneling of Line 8 of Beijing Metro, the timedependent curve of the vibration source is obtained by means of field monitoring at the shield tunneling face and the property of the amplitude and the frequency of the vibration source is analyzed. Then, the vibration response of the surrounding buildings induced by shield tunneling is measured. 3D dynamic finite element model of the vibration response of the surrounding buildings induced by shield tunneling is established by means of Z_soil FEM program. The rules of the vibration response of the surrounding buildings induced by shield tunneling are analyzed on basis of the site monitoring results. Conclusions drawn are as follows: 1) The vibration response of buildings on the tunnel crosssection induced by shield tunneling would gradually decay as the distance to the tunnel center line increases, and it has fluctuation tendency; 2) The influence of the vibration on the buildings ahead of the working face is heavier than that on the buildings behind the working face.
