Abstract:
In this paper, the authors point out the problems in the existing calculation methods for the vertical loads of deepburied multiarch tunnels. Based on double ground arching method and the method provided in Design Rules of Highway Tunnel, the authors get the corrected load calculation method and the value of the additional correction coefficients. Then the authors make a comparative analysis on the calculation results of vertical loads under the condition of two lane highways and three lane highways. The result obtained by the corrected load calculation method is close to that obtained by the method provided in Design Rules of Highway Tunnel. The corrected load calculation method should be recommended for future application. At last, the formula has been applied in the calculation of the loads of Baziling tunnel and Nashaling tunnel, which demonstrates that the formula is rational.
