Lining Technology for Large Crosssection Tunnel Constructed by Mining Method in Urban Area: Case Study on Underground Tunnel Connecting Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station

Abstract:

Different lining methods are studied in terms of lining efficiency, economy and settlement and deformation control, so as to select proper lining methods for the PBA section and CRD section of the underground tunnel connecting Beijing Railway Station and Beijing West Railway station. Conclusions drawn are as follows: 1) Both composite steel formwork lining method and formwork trolley lining method have their own applicability and limitations and should be rationally selected according to the excavation methods, crosssection dimensions and environment of the tunnel. 2) The mentioned two lining methods are optimized in terms of safety and quality control. The paper can provide reference for similar projects in the future.
