Abstract:
In the paper, the rivercrossing shieldbored largediameter road tunnels built in Shanghai are summarized and analyzed. It is proposed that the function and safety of the rivercrossing shieldbored road tunnels must be ensured in the construction of these tunnels. Furthermore, the type selection and design parameters of the working shafts and the circular tunnels and the waterproofing technology for the shieldbored tunnels are proposed. The shield type selection technology, excavation face balance technology, backfilling grouting technology, shield launching/arriving technology and monitoring technology are presented. The waterproofing technology, fireresistant lining technology and the technology of integrating the ventilation towers into other buildings are analyzed.
Key words: large diameter shield, rivercrossing tunnel, design and construction technology
