Doubleshield TBM has lots of advantageous when boring in homogeneous hard rocks. Jamming will often occur to TBM when boring in soft and weak rocks and fault and fracture zone. In this paper, the working situation of main drive of TBM is presented, the parameters of main drive performance is analyzed and tested, and the improvement scheme of performance of main drive of the TBM is proposed. The adaptability of the TBM is greatly improved, and TBM jamming problem is solved. The paper can provide reference for TBM remanufacturing in the future.
