Abstract:
The standardized and modularized design of metro station is propitious to passengers and operation management. The design of public zones (platform width, arrangement escalators and ticket pavilion, hall and platform height and arrangement of column spacing and public lavatories included), equipment zones, entrance/exit, ventilation pavilions and ventilation galleries of Foshan Metro Line No. 3 is presented; and then the standardized and modularized deign scheme is proposed and the adaptability to passenger flow is calculated. The 58% of public zone, 19% of equipment zone and 86% of ventilation pavilion are standardized and 30% of equipment zone is modularized. Good effects have been achieved and the results can provide reference for design of railway transit lines of similar projects in the future.
