Study of Industry Foundation Classes (IFC)based Information Modeling of Retaining Structure of Foundation Pit

Abstract:

The industry foundation classes (IFC)based information model of retaining structure of foundation pit is built as the basis and core to improve the quality and efficiency of information communication and sharing among subjects of foundation pit projects. Firstly, the framework of IFCbased information model of retaining structure is studied; and then a series of IFC entities of enclosure structure are extended; and a method of retaining structure modeling is established according to the extended IFC standards. Finally, the Revit plugin of retaining structures is generated by secondary development of modeling software; and the feasibility of the abovementioned method is verified by application to foundation pit of a metro station. The automated modeling of retaining structure of foundation pit can be realized according to unified IFC data standards, which can apply to foundation pit and rock and soil projects in the future.
