Investigation and Consideration of Wastewater Drainage System of Rivercrossing Shield Tunnels

Abstract:

In China, there are more and more rivercrossing shield tunnels; and the wastwater drainage system is becoming more and more important. As a result, the comparison among rivercrossing tunnel on Line No. 3 and No. 10 of Nanjing Metro and rivercrossing tunnels on Weisanlu and Weiqilu municipal road are made in terms of wastewater sources, pumping capacity of wastewater pump room, lifting scheme and pump room arrangement; and the analysis and discussion are made on pipe blasting and control technology of the tunnels. Some conclusions are drawn as follows: 1) The wastewater drainage capacity should be accurately cleared to achieve safety, reliability and highly economy. 2) The rational lifting scheme should be selected according to the length and burial depth of the tunnel; meanwhile, the fire pipe blasting control should be taken into consideration. 3) The wastwater pump room should be rationally arranged according to tunnel crosssection so as to easily carry out daily maintenance.
