Research on Optimization Model of Trackless Transportation in Longdistance and Largediameter Slurry Shield Tunnel: A Case Study of Sutong GIL Utility Tunnel

Abstract:

The longdistance and largediameter slurry shield tunneling technology has been widely used in underwater tunnel. With the increase of tunneling distance, the vehicle dispatch in the longdistance tunnel is of great importance to enhance the tunneling efficiency under trackless transportation. It is necessary to optimize the processes of material transportation and improve the transportation efficiency of vehicles in longdistance shield tunnel. In this paper, the material transportation of deadend 5 468 m slurry shield tunneling of Sutong GIL Utility Tunnel is optimized; and optimization model of trackless transportation in longdistance tunnel is established. The results show that: (1) The maximum transportation length Lmax of vehicle is positively correlated to the number of vehicles; and 6 dualheaded trucks are needed to meet the requirement of material transportation for 5 468 m. (2) Compared with the original scheme, the maximum retention time of vehicle in the optimization scheme is decreased by 131 minutes. This optimization model can provide theoretical guidance for materials transportation of Sutong GIL Utility Tunnel, and provide valuable reference for similar projects in the future as well.
