Design and Application of UltraWideband Layered Plane Positioning System for Shaft Boring Machine

Abstract: A layered plane positioning system based on Ultrawideband technology is intended to solve all types of risks and complicated personnel management during the shaft boring machine(SBM) construction process and to improve its modern operation level. The layer addition method is used to construct the location space based on the structural characteristics and construction environment of SBM. First, the location level of the location target is determined by the layerjudgment base station. The iterative method combined with the layerlocation base station is then used to calculate the accurate location of the target, and the positioning error is analyzed. The application of the system in the Ninghai pumped storage power station SBM project demonstrates that the layerjudgment accuracy is 100% and the positioning accuracy error is less than 0.2 m, which meets the positioning accuracy requirements of SBM construction and is beneficial to the promotion of construction inherent safety.
