Abstract:

Design is a very important part of rail transit projects. As a professional design of urban rail transit project, the alignment profession is the most important overall profession in the design of Metro and light rail. In this paper, the working contents of alignment designing methods of alignment profession are discussed. The author suggests that many factors, i.e. further study on line location and station location, negotiation with related authorities and scheme decision, have to be considered.
