Abstract:

The practicability of underground utility tunnel in built urban central area constructed by largescale opencut method is bad. Hence, the design idea of utility tunnel combining with metro, synchronous planning, synchronous design, synchronous implementation and shield method is put forward. The key construction issues, i.e. analysis of main composition and function of every part of shield utility tunnel, combined mode, fire partition length division principle and ground portal (exit and hole for hoisting) spacing requirements, installation, operation, maintenance and pipe burst prevent measures of largescale water supply pipeline, system mode of tunnel internal structure, and pipeline outlet solutions, are analyzed, introduced and put into practice. The results have systematically solved the application problem of underground utility tunnel in urban central area.
