Abstract:

This work reviews the inspection and rehabilitation cases of hydraulic tunnels in Taiwan. The peculiarity of inspection and maintenance tasks are discussed. The common anomalies of tunnel structures and associated affecting factors are investigated in detail. Based on the experience learned from these inspection and rehabilitation cases, life cycle design considerations are commented.
