Abstract:
The key to rapid tunneling underneath urban areas without influencing the living of the residents and the stability of the surface buildings is to control the vibration during the blasting. The successful application of vibrationreducing blasting in a shallow tunnel passing underneath town area and the construction experience are given in this paper. The construction method of pilot tunnel combined with smooth blasting in preserved strata is presented in detail. The controlledblasting plan and the vibrationreducing effect are evaluated by means of blasting vibration monitoring. This paper may provide reference for the construction of similar projects in the future.
