Abstract:

  For the design of Metro stations that can not be constructed by cut and cover method on both ends or in the middle, the concept of "separate concourse tunnel constructed by underground excavation method" is proposed. On this basis, a wellfunctioning station structure is designed, with the concourse tunnel crossing the platform tunnel in space and the concourse tunnel being connected with the platform tunnel in vertical direction and oblique direction. The design concept of stations constructed by cut and cover method and underground excavation method was presented. Firstly, the architecture and construction design of Xiaobei Metro station is introduced. Secondly, the key of this complicated structure design is discussed. And finally, some advices are made which can be referred to for some other projects with similar surrounding conditions.
