Abstract:

It is one of the most important responsibilities of the expressway maintenance departments to remove the snows and ices on the expressway surfaces timely so as to ensure the safety and freeofblockage of the expressways in winter. In the paper, the significance of the application of new snowremoving agents is expatiated in respect of improving snowremoving efficiency, reducing environment pollution and minimizing the losses induced by traffic accidents. Furthermore, the features, spraying method and application effect of the new snowremoving agents are presented on basis of practical experience. Finally, analysis is made on the economic efficiency and social efficiency of the new snowremoving agents.
