Abstract:

 Located in Dabieshan mountainous area, Hongshiyan tunnel on Hefei～Wuhan passengerdedicated railway crosses mountainous cloughs, where there develop ground water, concentrated joints and local permeable fractured rock masses. During the construction of the tunnel, the principle that "comprehensive countermeasures, such as waterproofing, drainage and waterstopping, are taken in accordance with the actual conditions of the tunnel" are adopted and special attentions are paid to the details of the waterproofing and drainage construction, which results in good waterproofing effects.
