Optimal Design of LED Lighting on Completion Section of Highway Tunnel Construction

Abstract:

In order to reasonably select and arrange the LED lighting fixtures on completion section of highway tunnel construction, the lighting simulation software DIALux is used to obtain the relationship between the lighting effects of three common LED lamps, i.e. floodlights, bulbs and strips and different influencing factors. Based on the bridge and tunnel project of Hongyancun in Chongqing City, the LED lighting application and verification are carried out. The results show that: (1) In the case of the same lighting arrangement, the order of utilization coefficient from high to low is floodlights, strips and bulbs. But for uniformity of road illumination, the order from good to bad is strips, bulbs and floodlights. (2)The utilization coefficients of bulbs and floodlights are little affected by the spacing of lighting arrangement. (3)The tunnel crosssection also has less influence on the utilization coefficients, but the higher the reflection coefficient of the tunnel is, the better the lighting effect of the road is. (4) The bulbs and floodlights are recommended to be main lighting fixtures in tunnel construction. In the selection and arrangement, factors such as utilization coefficient, light efficiency, spacing, and price should be taken into comprehensive consideration.
