Study on Coconstruct Design of Metro Station and Civil Tunnel: a Case Study on Chencun New Town Station on West Extenstion 

Abstract: Some problems may arise during coconstruct design of metro station and civil tunnel. Hence, the removal and reconstruction of Jinlong Tunnel at Chencun Xincheng station on west extension section of Shunde in the firststage project of Guangzhou metro line No.7 is taken as an example.Some factors such as selection of station location, reconstruct scheme and layout of architectural space are deeply analyzed. The main conclusion are as follows: (1)For the location selection and function of the new project are restricted by the existing project, function is preferred to consider during design and sometimes breaking with the convention is allowable. (2)To the construction involving removal and reconstruction of existing project, it is necessary to solicit sufficient comments from the participating units such as construction unit, design unit and relevant competent unit. Based on the engineering risks and social risks, requisite expert demonstration and evaluation is needed to carried out, so as to ensure the implementation of the followup work. (3) The public architectural design should lay emphasis on humanization and elaboration. Under the premise that the risks are controllable, the spatial layout should be optimized,  so that to meet the funtional requirement and improve the service.
