Abstract:

Water leakage and freezing are difficult problems of completed highway tunnels in frigid areas, which bring perplexity to the operation of highway tunnels in frigid areas in northern China. During the construction of Xinjiaodong tunnel on Changchun～Huichun highway in Jilin province, many new technologies such as “water interception, waterproofing, drainage, heat preservation and heat supply” are adopted to avoid such problems and satisfactory waterproofing effects have been achieved. The article can provide reference for the waterproofing, drainage, heat preservation and antifreezing of similar tunnels in frigid areas in the future.
