Cause Analysis and Treatment Methods for Accident of Weiyuan Tunnel

Abstract

Abstract:

The accident of serious integral sinking occurs during the construction of Weiyuan tunnel. In the paper, analysis is made on the causes for the accident in respect of terrain, geological structure, construction time and construction method and countermeasures are provided in respect of waterproofing and drainage, primary reinforcement and foundation treatment. With these countermeasures taken, the accident is brought under effective control and the safety of the following tunnel construction is guaranteed.
