Abstract:

On basis of construction of the rivercrossing karst tunnels on the oildelivery pipe lines in southwest of China, the author presents the blasting method adopted for the construction of the rivercrossing tunnels in karst regions, describes the construction methods and relevant countermeasures to cope with the tunnel water inflows, ground deformation and the karst geology and makes some recommendations on the construction of rivercrossing tunnels in karst regions.
