Abstract:

 During the construction of urban underground works, the underground utilities not only have great impact on construction period and safety, but also have great impact on construction investment and surrounding environments. How to minimize the adverse impacts of the underground utilities has become a universal topic to be addressed during the construction of urban underground works. In the paper, the protection of the electricity channel crossing the foundation pit of an access tunnel of Jiuting station on line 9 of Shanghai MRT system is presented, which can provide reference for similar works in the future.
