Abstract:
The road performance, asphalt content and fireresistance of cement concrete, AC mixtures, SMA mixtures and OGFC mixtures are compared and analyzed by means of indoor tests and burning simulation tests. The research results indicate that OGFC13 mixtures made of highviscosity modified asphalt possess stable structures and excellent antisliding performance, with the dynamic stability reaching more than 7000 cycles/mm, the cantabro loss being only 4.25% and the texture depth being more than 1.7mm. Furthermore, the asphalt content of OGFC pavement is less, the large porosity structures of OGFC pavement can effectively control the petrol burning and the fireresistant performance of OGFC pavement is even superior to the cement concrete pavement. Conclusion is drawn that OGFC mixtures made of highviscosity modified asphalt is more suitable to be used as the asphalt pavement materials for largescale highway tunnels.
