Abstract:

The construction of Metro tunnels does harm to the safety of the neighboring buildings/structures at varying degrees. Taking several projects as example, the author introduces the application of partition method, grouting reinforcement method and underpinning method in the construction of Metro tunnels passing underneath surface buildings/structures. Moreover, the author describes the construction technologies of these methods and summarizes their applicable conditions. This paper can provide reference for the design and construction of similar projects in the future.
