Causes and Countermeasures for Segment Uplift of Shieldbored Tunnels

Abstract:

A segment stressing model is established on basis of the segment uplifts occurring during the construction of shieldbored tunnels. The causes for the segment uplift are analyzed in terms of the shield attitude, the longitudinal rigidity of the tunnel, the length of the tunnel section where the simultaneous grouting mortar has not set and the property of the ground. Finally, countermeasures are proposed to control the segment uplift. The paper can provide reference for similar projects.
