Risk Analysis and Risk Control Technology for Shield
Tunneling in Guangzhou Region

Abstract:

Risks are summarized and risk control technologies are proposed for shield tunneling in complex geological conditions as encountered during the construction of Metro lines in Guangzhou, which include fractured zones, residual soils, soft strata, karst caves, "red strata" and "uppersoft and lowerhard" strata. The study results can provide reference and guidance for Metro construction in the future.
